It is time to head back home. This means traveling from Äkäslompolo in Finland to Tromsø in Norway.

Today was the day we could finally relax. No early appointments and some free time to roam around. We decided to visit the lake that shares it's name with the town

We're touring through the Finnish nature on snowmobiles.

After a short night at the Icehotel it is time to head to the third country of our journey.

As we arrived at the Icehotel the temperature was only a mild -13°C but quickly dropping. So the prospect of sleeping in a room of about -6°C was a warm welcome.

It is early in the morning and I only just got a chance to snatch some coffee into a thermos from the lobby before we rush out of our cabin for our next road-trip

We assembled at the local tourist information point to gather all our gear to go ice-climbing.

Well, today will be mostly traveling trough the countryside. Even more than we anticipated beforehand but we will get to that a bit later.
